Our Work
💡 What to Expect
We know that coming to a concert with little ones can sometimes feel daunting. That’s why Music for Miniatures concerts are designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and family-friendly from start to finish.
Babies can feed, toddlers can wriggle, and older children can join in too. Our musicians understand and love the energy that children bring—it’s all part of the experience!
To help you feel prepared, here are some of the most common questions parents and carers ask before their first visit:
❓Frequently Asked Questions
Can I feed my baby during the concert?
Yes, absolutely! Whether you’re breastfeeding or bottle feeding, please feel free to feed your baby whenever you need to. Our concerts are relaxed and designed with parents and little ones in mind. Different locations have different rules around snacks though. As a general rule, by all means bring snacks BUT PLEASE CLEAR UP ANY MESS!! It's not pleasant for our team to be picking up raisins or crumbs so please tidy up after yourself.
Is there baby changing available?
Yes – all of our venues have baby changing facilities.
Can I bring my buggy?
Of course! All our venues have space for buggies, and our team will help you find somewhere safe to park them. At busier concerts, we may ask you to fold your buggy to make more room.
Are older children welcome too?
Definitely. While our concerts are created with babies and pre-schoolers in mind, older siblings and children up to age 11 are very welcome to join in.
Does my child have to sit still?
Not at all! We expect little ones to move, wriggle, crawl, or even dance along. Our musicians love the energy children bring. You never need to worry about being perfectly still or quiet. All we ask is that there's no running, and if your little one becomes distressed, please take them outside until they've calmed down.
How long are the concerts?
All of our concerts last around 45 minutes – long enough for little ones to enjoy, but short enough to keep them engaged.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend booking tickets online to secure your space, as our concerts are often very popular. Where space allows, you may also be able to pay on the door.
Is the venue accessible?
We always choose venues with good accessibility, and most have step-free access for buggies and wheelchairs. If you have specific access needs, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
🎵 Our Two Simple Concert Rules
We want everyone to have the best experience possible, so we only have two rules at our concerts:
1. For the adults – please don’t talk during the concert.
You are your child’s best listening role model. If you listen well, they will learn to listen well too, and they’ll also learn to respect the musicians. Plus, adult chatter adds to the noise and makes it harder for others to enjoy the music. We’re all about encouraging good listening skills from the very beginning.
2. For the children – no running!
You've come to experience a concert - we're not soft play! Running is noisy and distracting for both musicians and the audience. Most importantly, our scarves are a major slip hazard. We want everyone to stay safe and enjoy the music.
✨ Relax, come as you are, and enjoy the magic of live music with your little ones.
